Business Operations Manager, ASG IV (Galveston)

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent and four years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Medical Practice/Medical Office Management Medical coding experience; OB/Gyn outpatient and inpatient preferred Revenue Cycle Charge Capture Knowledge of coding guidelines Experience with EPIC

Job Description:

To assist the Department Administrator and Assistant Administrator in the overall management of the department.  Coordinates and manages a variety of activities in support of the department with a focus upon staff coordination, policy and procedure development, strategic planning, and organizational analysis.  

Job Duties:

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Optimization of encounter workflows to ensure accurate and maximum billing and reimbursement by reducing denials and write-offs. RWSP Grant Management incl. consent form review, denials, and CPT usage/reconciliation. To include assurance the department is within grant spending authority and governance. Financial and clinical reporting and analysis (i.e., produce volume reports by division, provider productivity reports, surgical volume reports, etc.). Assist in the development of Net Patient Care Revenue budget and forecast planning. Reconcile clinical FTE to provider’s schedule and ensure compliance. Work with clinic manager(s) and providers to increase patient access, flow, and productivity. Direct supervision of staff who oversee functions including provider enrollment & credentialing, and clinical analysis and reporting. Management of EPIC work queues. Monitor access measures and open encounters.

The Business Operations Manager will collaborate with Pediatric and OB/Gyn leadership with a primary focus on the optimization of encounter workflows, net patient care revenue enhancement and Regional Womens Services and Pediatrics (RWSP) grants management.   

Additionally, this position will supervise direct reports within the Department, support clinical and productivity reporting and analysis, assist in the development of the NPCR budget, forecast planning, and provide the Department with clinical analytical support needed to achieve its strategic goals and support the clinical mission.
