Business Office Manager

Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a Business Office Manager that oversees firmwide financial operations, HR compliance, payroll, benefits, and administrative functions, while supporting partners in strategic planning and reporting. This high-impact, on-site role supervises the Operations Manager and works closely with a six-person admin team.
Finance & Accounting:
* Manage internal accounting (A/R, A/P, reconciliations, close) and financial reporting
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking, and financial planning
* Oversee client billing, collections, and tax filings
HR & Payroll:
* Administer payroll and employee benefits for 35-40 staff
* Ensure HR compliance, maintain personnel records, and support onboarding/offboarding
* Develop and enforce HR policies
Recruiting & Growth:
* Support hiring needs, job postings, and candidate outreach
* Manage onboarding, new hire reporting, and intern program logistics
* Help plan recruiting events and maintain school/partner relationships
Operations & Admin:
* Supervise admin staff and manage office/vendor operations
* Oversee software systems, workflow efficiency, and firm calendars
Marketing & Communications:
* Lead social media and website updates
* Maintain internal communications and branding consistency
* Support firm visibility and recruitment strategies
Compliance & Risk:
* Maintain licenses, insurance policies, and internal controls
* Oversee fraud protection procedures and coordinate with auditors and vendors
Strategic Support:
* Deliver financial and operational reports to leadership
* Participate in planning, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives
