Business Manager - Energy Systems
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in one of the following locations: Northbrook, IL; Research Triange Park, NC; Melville, NY; Fremont, CA; or Vancouver, WA. + Develop and implement strategies to grow the business and improve customer satisfaction. + Manage budgets, financial performance (P&L), and ensure revenue and profit targets are achieved. + Oversee cost management, forecasting, and workflow planning. + Monitor project activity to ensure efficient use of resources and timely delivery. + Align operational capabilities with customer needs by planning capacity and skill requirements. + Identify and pursue new business opportunities in collaboration with Sales and Business Development. + Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to support financial goals. + Lead pricing, promotions, and service offerings to maximize profitability. + Build strong customer relationships through regular engagement and market analysis. + Represent the company at industry events like seminars and trade shows. + Manage capital investments and ensure they meet long-term business goals. + Support mergers and acquisitions, including integration and financial performance. + Lead and develop a high-performing team through coaching, feedback, and career development. + Promote a culture of accountability, performance, and engagement. + Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards. + Communicate and embody the company’s vision and mission. + Foster collaboration and trust across teams and with customers. + Build global networks to enhance quality, speed, and customer experience. + Mentor others to do the same. + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. + 8+ years in the renewable energy industry across areas like product management, engineering, or sales. + 4+ years of leadership experience. + Proven success in leading cross-functional and global projects. + Strong financial acumen with understanding of DCF and ROI impacts. + Skilled in performance management, staffing, and employee development. + Able to simplify complex information and present it effectively. + Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting financial and legal data. + Strategic thinker with risk management and contingency planning capabilities. Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000-170,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
