**South Island Business Leader – Transportation**
Join us as we drive strategic growth within Aotearoa’s infrastructure sector—we have a great opportunity for an experienced Business Leader to head our South Island Transportation team. This highly talented group of transportation engineers, planners, designers, geo specialists, and project managers delivers a diverse range of services to clients across the South Island, Aotearoa, and beyond. You will lead this team from one of our South Island offices: Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Queenstown.
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent management experience and a great understanding of the local consulting business. Strong financial acumen is a given, as is a successful track record in leading others, fostering client relationships, winning revenue, and delivering projects. You must hold a professional qualification in engineering with 15 or more years of experience in the transportation consulting, construction, or local government sector. Local knowledge and experience in the South Island market would be an advantage.
**You will:**
+ Develop and implement business strategy and revenue growth plans for the business to achieve organisational goals and agreed outcomes
+ Build and maintain positive long-term relationships with existing and new clients
+ Foster strategic partnerships to support business development and growth
+ Collaborate internally to leverage connections and capabilities across our local business disciplines to deliver integrated solutions for clients
+ Identify capability gaps within your team and facilitate their development and any necessary recruitment
+ Actively participate in internal and external knowledge communities on both a local and global scale
+ Join the leadership of our national Transportation business and work closely with other New Zealand and Asia Pacific leaders to deliver our regional growth strategy
+ Provide oversight and guidance to a group of team leaders and principal engineers
+ Lead the growth of services into a variety of industry clients through active portfolio management and recruitment
