Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will gather customer requests and collaborate with your team to determine solutions to solve business needs, use applications and BI tools to explore and understand data, and collaborate with the team to prepare plans to find solutions.

The SF Risk - Business Intelligence - Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
* Assist with identifying and addressing customer needs, and strive to do what's right for our customers.
* Coordinate activities with team to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence (BI) applications and tools.
* Support developing and implementing automated business processes and mechanisms to generate meaningful reports to help us deliver on Fannie Mae's vision and purpose.
* Compile data and analyses to drive business decision-making capabilities.
* Assist with identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems.
*THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM*
Desired Experiences
* Bachelor degree or equivalent
Skills
* Excellent communication skills with experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions. Proven ability to translate between technical and business users and terms.
* Proficient in data exploration and data wrangling using SQL.
* Experience building basic BI applications, dashboards, and data-driven tools to support business decision-making using SQL, R, Tableau.
* Collaborates with stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional BI applications.
* Experience analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data.
* Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.
* Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Tableau, and R Markdown
* Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions.
* Expertise in using statistical methods, including developing and testing hypotheses, using experimental design, and running linear and logistic regressions.
* Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making using SQL and or Tableau
* Programming including coding, debugging, and using SQL and R programming languages
* Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal.
* Documenting BI data models, ETL processes, and reporting workflows, including using Bitbucket or Githubfor version control.
* Maintaining clear, accessible guides for dashboards, KPIs, and data sources.
* Ensuring documentation supports data governance and cross-team collaboration.

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
