Business Intelligence Engineer, Workforce Solutions

The Workforce Solutions organization in PXT is seeking talented Business Intelligence Engineers to join our cross-functional team of Product Managers, Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Business Intelligence Engineers, and Scientists to help turn big ideas into practical solutions at scale. You will work with a team of talented technical specialists in data, machine learning and AI to solve fascinating problems in workforce staffing for Amazon’s Fulfilment Center network globbaly. A key aspect of this role involves leveraging Generative AI and intelligent agents to analyze vast datasets to uncover hidden patterns and emerging business opportunities. You will be responsible for generating data-driven narratives that translate complex insights into actionable business recommendations. The role requires using AI to automate the discovery of correlations and causalities in business operations, and develop AI-powered dashboards that tell compelling stories through data visualization. This will be a great fit if you get excited by partnering with Product Managers and technical peers to dig deep into the business challenges to understand and identify insights that will enable us to meet associate needs at a global scale. You need excellent analytical abilities as well as business acumen and an ability to tie together from across Amazon to help enable effective decision making. An ability to communicate insight to the business via development and implementation of ongoing and subject-specific reporting artifacts is a critical skill in this role. Key job responsibilities * Gather and translate business requirements into scalable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture. * Design, develop and establish KPIs to monitor analysis and provide strategic insights to drive growth and performance of our products. * Work with large data sets, automate data extraction, and build monitoring/reporting dashboards and high value, self-service automated BI solutions. * Report key insight trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines that impact the business. * Collaborate with date engineering and product management team to develop solutions that utilize the highest standards of analytical rigor and data integrity. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines - Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling Preferred Qualifications - Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift - Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets - Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
