The US Seller Business organization within SPS is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the US Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) and Merchant Fulfillment Network (MFN) programs.
How do we do this? Data – lots of data. We scour a vast array of DataWarehouse tables including, offer-level evaluations, historical and projected sales and profitability, vendor benchmarking, and heuristics to optimize Amazon’s profitability.
As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will work with our Finance team and partner with the business to create automated and scalable analytical tools that will ultimately be critical in driving the growth and profitability of the business. This includes building the infrastructure for regular reporting on business performance, writing the logic for program-level opportunity valuation, and deep diving the assumptions behind each program to test our initial hypotheses and assumptions. You will leverage the data to provide key data-driven insights, enable new opportunities, and innovate on behalf of our business customers. Your responsibilities will include:
· Owning the core reporting infrastructure and ensuring accuracy, integrity, and reliability
· Generating actionable insights through the development of metrics, dashboards and deep dive analyses
· Serving as a technical, business-metrics specialist and insight provider in the organization
· Acting as a key interface between our business customers and technical divisions
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
