Business Intelligence Engineer, Kuiper Global Service Compliance

We are seeking an exceptional Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Global Service Compliance (GSC) team supporting Amazon’s Project Kuiper. Amazon’s Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Intelligence Engineer who is out of this world excited about technology, data security, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
As a business intelligence engineer you will be collaborating with GSC and stakeholder teams to build automated and dynamic reports for external reporting and dashboards to support internal metrics and KPIs.
* Design, implement and maintain data infrastructure including data modeling, ETL pipelines, and ongoing maintenance.
* Partner with various teams to build data pipelines from a wide variety of sources using AWS big data technologies (Lake Formation, Glue, S3, MWAA, Lambda, etc.).
* Develop automated solutions to minimize manual processes with focus on efficiency and scalability.
* Assist in the development of key metrics and performance indicators to measure overall performance and provide foundation for continuous improvement.
* Build self-service reporting platforms, establishing automated processes for large scale data analysis.
* Understand and write high quality queries to retrieve and analyze data (ongoing reporting and ad hoc requests).
This position may be based in Bellevue, WA, or Arlington, VA. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.
