Business Intelligence Engineer, Digital, Device, and Alexa Support
Amazon.com
If you're interested in analytics and want to work on a team that builds solutions directly impacting millions of customers worldwide, this job is for you!
Amazon revolutionized customer service AND now we are changing what customers expect from technical support. We’re responsible for the Customer Service operations and solutions for all Amazon Devices and Digital properties, from the Kindle and Echo, to Amazon Music and Prime Video.
We are looking for a motivated individual with strong technical / analytical skills and practical experience to join the Device, Digital and Alexa Support (D2AS) team as a Business Intelligence Engineer on the Product & Analytics Team.
As a BIE, you will develop strategic reports, design user interfaces (UIs), and drive projects that support and influence the decision-making of the D2AS Product and Business teams. You will continuously learn new systems, tools, and industry best practices to build solutions that help our team automate and accelerate analytics. You will work with a team of analytics professionals who are passionate about using data to solve problems that matter to our customers.
A successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big and be creative (while still paying careful attention to detail). Candidates for this role should be skilled in database design, be comfortable dealing with large and complex data sets, and have experience building self-service dashboards using visualization tools like Tableau or AWS quicksight. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.
Key job responsibilities
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing data pipelines, metrics, dashboards, and analyses to drive business decisions.
• Work closely with the Product Managers, Scientists, Engineers, and Data Engineers on developing BI/analytics solutions to measure the performance of new and existing solutions (including ML Models) and surface new opportunities for improvements.
• Build and analyze key metrics to uncover trends and own ad-hoc deep dive investigations into existing customer journeys to identify root causes of issues and surface improvement opportunities.
• Work with the D2AS stakeholders to migrate visualization tools to better adapt applications within the AWS ecosystem. In this effort, you will migrate existing dashboards, test, deploy and train users in the new visualization tool.
About the team
We thrive on solving challenging problems to innovate for our customers. By pushing the boundaries of technology, we create unparalleled experiences that enable us to rapidly adapt in a dynamic environment.
If you are not sure that every qualification on the list above describes you exactly, we'd still love to hear from you! At Amazon, we value people with unique backgrounds, experiences, and skillsets. If you’re passionate about this role and want to make an impact on a global scale, please apply!
