Business Intelligence Engineer, AWS Global Sales Finance
Description Job summary • Candidate must be authorized to work in Singapore without sponsorship. • Bachelor's degree in a highly quantitative field, or equivalent professional experience • Proficiency with AWS cloud services including Amazon S3, Redshift, Lambda, and SageMaker, or similar tools • Advanced skills in SQL and Python We're seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Engineer II to design and implement data solutions for complex business problems. This role requires independent execution with a focus on building efficient, maintainable, and scalable BI solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ability to balance customer requirements with technical constraints while delivering high-quality, maintainable solutions that drive business decisions. Key job responsibilities • Lead design, development, and implementation of data-driven initiatives from conception through post-launch measurement • Build and deploy advanced automation solutions and self-service analytical tools • Uncover nuanced trends, identify strategic opportunities, and deliver actionable insights • Drive new initiatives that improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness through cutting edge technology adoption • Fostering analytical capabilities across teams Supporting Functions • Partner with Finance and Operations teams to define strategic business problems and implement data-driven solutions • Serve as trusted advisor for sales finance data and analytics, providing insights for strategic decision-making • Collaborate with sales operations and other BI teams to ensure alignment on metrics, data definitions, and reporting standards • Act as subject matter expert, promoting data-driven culture within sales finance organization Urgency & Priority Areas • Conduct in-depth financial analysis of sales performance across multiple dimensions (revenue, pipeline, productivity) to identify urgent trends and root causes • Deploy scalable automation solutions using AWS or Python scripting to address immediate process inefficiencies • Explore and prototype GenAI solutions to enhance sales finance capabilities and maintain competitive advantage • Implement user-friendly analytical tools and dashboards to enable stakeholders to access critical insights independently Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines - Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab - Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling Preferred Qualifications - Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift - Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
