Description As Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be part of the Japan Consumer Innovation organization, which provides a suite of products and services designed to help vendors grow their business on Amazon and unlock Retail employee productivity. You will work with product and program leaders to identify, analyze, and apply data insights to inform the product design decisions, provide recommendations based on the product impact analysis, influence the roadmap strategy, conduct proof of concept (PoC) for new innovation, and walk backward from customers to identify their needs and improve efficiency. About you: - You are data driven with a background in e-commerce, retail, research and/or insights. - You have deep knowledge of emerging trends in growth hacking, tech, and tools to drive growth. - You identify, prioritize, and tackle intrinsically hard problems, acquiring expertise as needed, and assess risk, drive clarity, and foster shared understanding by asking detailed questions about proposed solutions and/or strategies. - You create the correct sense of urgency for delivery, and proactively drive business decisions with senior leaders, aligning teams toward coherent and effective business and strategies. - You are a strategic thinker who identifies gaps and opportunities, and decomposes complex business problems and inefficiencies into straightforward and efficient strategies that improve the customer experience. - You show excellent judgment, and recognize when current plans are susceptible to prior failure patterns and actively steer teams to avoid repeating these failures. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline. - 5+ years of relevant work experience in business intelligence, analytics, data engineering, or related field. - Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tools to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports. - Experience with BI tools (e.g. Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI, Microstrategy).
