What is the Opportunity?

We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to become a part of our Business Intelligence Team within the AI & Analytics RBC WME department. This individual will play a pivotal role developing our BI capability to the highest industry standards and lead the way within the analytics space. This team is currently at a key stage in our mission to empower RBC with the insights necessary for our organizational growth. 

RBC’s expectation is that from mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do? 

Liaise with technical and non-technical people to identify key performance indicators and deliver BI solutions. 

Liaise with Data Engineers, Architects, and the rest of the team to deliver Power BI reports according to the data strategy.

Apply templates and standards process to deliver BI solutions with interactive and visually appealing visualizations.

Apply security and governance within Power BI deliverables.

Ensure data sources are not duplicated by the creation of new BI dashboards unless necessary.

Use SQL and/or Python to query/ingest data into the report on complex transformations.

Apply logic to create calculations and customise charts with the relevant programming language. 

Deploy dashboards through different nonproduction environments using CI/CD. 

Keep the team and the stakeholders up to date on any progress or blockers on the deliverables, as well as present the deliverables in demos.

Be responsible of the delivery of features allocated to them in the backlog. 

Attend to the relevant team meetings and contribute to the team agile methodology. 

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have 

Degree level qualification and/or proven experience.

Excellent communication and people skills.

Keen to learn and keep up to date on the latest BI technologies. 

Knowledge of cloud concepts and Power BI Architecture.

Nice-to-have 

Proven experience using SQL, Python and DAX.
