Job Purpose & Scope Assist in planning, organizing, and executing data and business intelligence functions for Banking Systems. Ensure accurate data reporting and timely project completion. Create and maintain custom reports using IBM Cognos, Power BI, and SAS across all business lines. Essential Job Functions + Collaborates with operations staff to execute production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations. + Designs data reporting solutions based on business requirements. + Performs liaison duties between users and operations staff regarding report design, modifications, and/or troubleshooting. + Analyzes business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions to empower the business through data intelligence. + Creates and provides applicable documentation, training, and guidance to system users. + Creates moderately complex SQL queries and database views. + Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing reporting databases by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing data governance. + Provides necessary documentation, training, and guidance to system users. + Works with vendors and/or IT staff members to resolve and document problems or errors. + Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of the other essential job functions. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities + Knowledge of data management and reporting solutions. + Knowledge of database implementation concepts such as Data Warehouse, Data Mart, Data Lake. + Knowledge of common database software applications such as SQL and DB2. + Knowledge of common scripting tools such as batch, PowerShell, T-SQL. + Knowledge of Data Governance concepts such as Data Quality, Data Lineage, Data Dictionary. + Knowledge of computers and programs for working software applications. + Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies. + Understanding of general business and banking systems. + Strong ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in decision-making. + Problem solving skills and root cause analysis of system issues. + Ability to define and document processes. + Ability to maintain confidentiality. + Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, with all employees, officers, and vendors. + Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. + Ability to complete tasks without assistance or close supervision. + Ability to produce accurate, thorough and timely work and sound judgment. + Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. + Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies. + Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Basic Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree or commensurate IT related work experience, required. + 1+ years of work experience in an enterprise server environment analyzing, administering, and troubleshooting databases, required. + 1+ years of work experience creating reports, using IBM Cognos Business Intelligence Software, + Power BI, SAS, and/or SQL SSRS reporting tools, required. + 1+ years of work experience with Microsoft SQL Server in enterprise environment, preferred.
