We are seeking a Business Financial Analyst to oversee and manage the operational and capital budgets for our Information Technology department. This individual will interact with department leaders to review budgets plans and forecasts, ensuring appropriate reporting and measures are in place to meet stated goals.

 

In this role, you will be the key point of contact and partner with the Finance/Accounting teams and other company departments. Additional responsibilities include leading the development of budgets and business justifications, identifying and implementing process efficiencies and providing expert assistance in meeting accounting and finance requirements of the Company as well as to provide assistance in identifying efficiency and effectiveness opportunities.

 

A Day In The Life:

Monthly Forecasting and Expense Management Support:Assist with the monthly re-forecast of IT Expense and Capital BudgetsPrepare sub-schedules and conduct necessary research to explain variancesConduct pre-meetings with IT team in preparation for monthly forecast meeting with FinanceProvide daily advisory to IT pyramid on all financial matters

 

Month-End Accounting Close: Run AP data queries in CognosAnalyze monthly invoice payments versus budget commitmentsPrepare / Analyze all monthly Accrual/Allocation/Reclass journal entries

 

Annual Budgeting Support:Assist IT pyramid in development of Annual Expense and Capital BudgetsDevelop reporting analytics to provide IT budget owners with the tools necessary to manage their expenses versus PlanServe as IT/Corporate Finance liaison in all budgeting meetings and activities

 

IT Capital Administration: Support the development, coordination, and approvals of required Capex expenditure request documentation (Financials; Executive Summary business justifications; Signatures)Assist in the preparation of Business Case and Cost / Benefit analyses

 

Operational Support: Support  purchase order and invoice processing functionsAssist with New Store Forecast ProcessPrepare additional operational reporting/analytics and ad hoc requests as directed by the IT pyramid and/or IT Business Support Manager/Director 

 

You’ll Come With: 

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance 0-2 years related Accounting/Finance experience      Advanced Excel skills Proficiency in computerized accounting applicationsPrior budgeting/forecasting experience strongly preferred!
