Role Summary:
This role is responsible for providing financial leadership, business consultation and analytical support to the Biopharma businesses in Egypt, Levant, Iraq, (ELI). The Business Finance Director will be a key business partner to the Cluster and Country Leadership Team and other key stakeholders inside and outside of the markets, providing financial guidance and counsel on strategic and operational priorities.
This position will manage a team of two headcount and will report directly to the MERA Regional Business Finance Director.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:Partner with the ELI Cluster Lead and LT on the execution of business strategies, and in managing the financials to maximise revenues whilst optimising resource allocation.Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to identify data-driven insights and make strategic recommendations to maximize business opportunities, drive growth and execute upon financial goals.Provide financial leadership and offer analytical insights/support for key business activities and initiatives such as Go-to-Market changes, business transformations, business development opportunities, key commercial agreements, etc.Prepare insightful and actionable analyses of financial information, proactively communicating key messages to support business decisions.Lead dynamic resource allocation in the cluster to drive growth in priority portfolios.Lead the planning (Operating plans & Latest Estimates) and reporting cycles.Drive business forecast accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.Offer financial expertise in technical areas of business decisions, involving other SMEs as required.Oversee and coordinate working capital management to optimise cash flows and mitigate financial risk.Ensure effective collaboration between Business Finance and other Finance functions, such as shared service centers, Treasury, Controllers, Tax, Decision Support Centre of Excellence.provide guidance on accounting policies / procedures, and support internal/external audits, as required.identify emerging risks and proactively define and implement remediations,ensure a strong internal controls environment.Work with Finance leadership across MERA and Emerging Markets to advance Finance initiatives,Manage, develop, and grow Business Finance colleagues in ELI.Qualifications & Attributes:Finance qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent), or Masters in Finance / MBA etc.,10+ years’ experience in finance roles. Demonstrable record of success in business partnering roles.Strong business acumen and collaboration skills.
