THE ROLE

Legends Global Merchandise has an excellent and immediate opening for a Business Finance Analyst, ideally on location in the NYC corporate office. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the position is responsible for analyzing the company's performance, alongside changes and market trends; creating forecasts and analyzing variances between those forecasts and actuals while being able to explain the causes of these variances. Will assist in preparation and planning for initiatives and project related work as assigned by the VP Finance.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Analysis and ReportingIdentify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboardsIncrease productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting toolsPerform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics trackingPerform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation compsAnalyze financial data and create financial models for decision support, including for RFPs and new businessAnalyze account level data and develop actionable insights that will help grow the businessReport on financial performance and help prepare for regular leadership reviews, including the Monthly Operating Review with executive leadershipAnalyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvementsVarious Project Related work to support Business SolutionsMaintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and modelsProficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data query/data management tools is extremely helpful (BI tools such as Power BI, SQL, Business Objects)Project and Operations SupportAssess the current business processes in the various accounts, including developing and implementing best practices, and maintaining ongoing business process solutionsAssist in the preparation of documentation and presentation materialsAssist in identifying and evaluating business process opportunities to drive business efficiency across the organizationAbility to support and co- ordinate project related initiatives within Finance and Operations as directed by Finance leadership

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE     

Demonstrated interest in business finance or other relevant experienceStrong fluency with Excel formulas and functionsBachelor's degree required (Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred)Project Management skill a plus

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong analytical and data gathering skillsExcellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsKnowledge of ERP, RPA, and BI systems and toolsAttention to accuracy and detail required

COMPENSATION

Salary: $70,000-$100,000k/yr
