Job Description: Business Excellence Lead - Associate Director
Job Summary
The Business Excellence Lead - Associate Director will play a pivotal role in driving excellence and transformation across all facets of the Clients & Industries function. This position will focus on financial management, compliance, workforce demand management, and business continuity planning. Additionally, the role will be responsible for creating and executing C&I GDS transformation plans based on guidance from the leadership team, demonstrating innovative thinking through the identification of processes and deployment of technology and AI tools for a digital operating model. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the GDS Clients & Industries leadership team, the larger GDS Enablement Services umbrella, and support functions such as Talent, Finance, Service Excellence, Digital Products & Services, and Central Operations to ensure alignment and effectiveness in achieving strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities Drive financial management initiatives working closely with Finance, optimizing resource allocation and enhance profitability, ensuring alignment with transformation goals. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies across all business operations, adapting processes as necessary during the transformation while collaborating with Central and C&I Business Operations. Oversee the workforce demand management process in consultation with the GDS C&I Competency Leads and Talent teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and effective resource utilization, particularly during periods of change. Lead the deployment of business continuity plans, collaborating with GDS C&I Competency Leads and location teams to ensure Pillar location strategies are aligned for business continuity. Collaborate with the GDS Clients & Industries leadership team to align business strategies and operational plans with transformation efforts. Work closely with Global, Region, and GDS transformation offices to execute transformation initiatives within GDS Clients & Industries. Liaise with the larger GDS Enablement Services umbrella to ensure seamless integration and support for transformation initiatives. Identify opportunities for innovative thinking by deploying technology and AI tools, working closely with Competency Leads, Service Excellence, and DPS teams, to enhance processes and drive digital operating models Proactively publish leading foresights on all dimensions of business excellence, sharing insights and best practices across the organization. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of business excellence and transformation initiatives. Deploy processes to collate accurate data, and streamline and automate production process for stakeholder value reports

Key skills and experience required Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in business management, operational excellence, or a related role within a professional services environment, with a focus on transformation initiatives. Proven track record of driving financial performance and managing compliance, particularly in times of change. Strong understanding of corporate responsibility and sustainability practices, with an ability to integrate these into transformation efforts. Experience in workforce planning and demand management, especially during organizational transformations. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders throughout transformation processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making to support transformation strategies. Proven track record in managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
Technical skills Familiarity with technology and AI tools, and experience in deploying innovative solutions to enhance business processes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Adobe Analytics and content performance tools.
