Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech **We are searching for the best talent for Business Excellence Engineer (Fixed Term 12 Months)** **Purpose:** Under the direction of the Business Excellence Manager or Sr. Business Excellence Manager, implements Continuous Improvement techniques and tools in breakthrough and transformational assignments in order to deliver the expected business results. **You will be responsible for** **:** Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: + Lead, coordinate and facilitate the implementation of Lean Manufacturing efforts and the deployment of the JJPS (Johnson & Johnson Production System). + Develop and implement lean training programs and facilitate organizational learning. + Follows and observes all regulatory requirements (GMP’s, ISO, FDA, internal policies) applicable to area of responsibility. + Comply with J&J Safety/Environmental Requirement and safe working conditions and practices in the department. + Ability to set priorities and achieve objectives. + Oversee the development, implementation and management of layouts through the use of Lean Manufacturing concepts. + Develop, implement and maintain processes to measure and manage production results versus goals. Maintain Plant Dashboard. + Must be able to work under pressure achieving consistently high results through individual and team efforts. + Conceive, develop and implement Lean Manufacturing processes to improve efficiencies, increase productivity and/or improve quality. + Facilitate and support business process mapping team across business to eliminate non-valueadded activities. + Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common scientific, technical journals, and financial reports. Ability to write reports with technical emphasis. + Requires proven initiative, creativity, assertiveness and leadership abilities. + Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication, presentation, listening, negotiating and Problem-solving/decision-making skills. + Oversee all aspects of the Lean manufacturing initiatives including set-up reduction, workplace organization, standardized work, flow improvements and visual management by conceiving, developing and implementing processes to improve efficiencies, increase productivity and/or improve quality. + Support Base Business in capacity, waste and cycle time analysis, productivity/efficiency measur ments, routes and business plan preparation. + Creation and manage of production routes. + Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Shows strong decision making and problem-solving skills. + Demonstrates knowledge of the manufacturing process and functions of various machines supporting the operation. + Demonstrates organized, analytical approach to problem solving. + Understanding of financial processes (standard cost development) and business planning is preferred. + Demonstrates knowledge of factors against which production effectiveness is measured, including elements such as inventory effectiveness (i.e. WIP), product quality (i.e. critical Quality attributes, critical process parameters, proven acceptable ranges, etc.) and other relevant metrics. + Demonstrates understanding of common engineering analysis tools such as statistical process control (which are applied in conjunction with continuous improvement principles). **Qualifications / Requirements:** + A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. + 2-4 years of overall business professional experience is required. Experience in Six Sigma and/or Lean methodologies is preferred. + Experience in Analytical and Statistical knowledge. + Bilingual (Spanish & English) + Green Belt Certification or Black Belt certification preferred. + Advance computer skills and use of software applications such as but not limited to AutoCAD, Excel(including Charts/Graphs), Minitab and Word. + Demonstrates familiarity with FDA, BSI, ISO and GMP requirements + Personal Attributes: + Leads change, connects with others and shapes the environment, demonstrates assertiveness and collaborations skills, good verbal and written communication skills. + Possesses understanding of employee relations and motivational factors.
