This particular position is to support our Business Development (BD) activities, where you will typically be involved in multiple streams of customer engagement and solution definitions. The ability to understand and articulate needs and requirements for potential customers in emerging markets and aligning these to our solutions is critical.
The role also has our normal expectations of delivery oversight and leadership that a System Architect brings and reports into our International Systems Architecture group.
**What you will be doing**
System Architecture provides leadership in the following three key areas of our customer lifecycle.
+ **Pre-Sales Support** – provide leadership, business understanding and technical expertise to facilitate alignment on a full solution regardless of proposed scope. Lead the technical activities through proposal development, solution costing, and delivery planning.
+ **Systems Delivery** – be the owner of the complete solution for customers, providing inputs to the process (technical strategy, gap analysis) and collaborating with teams through the process (product architecture, product management, infrastructure, training).
+ **Business Development and Sales Support -** Act as the single point of contact for BD pre-sales support, sales consultancy and technology support. Be the advocate for BD opportunities within technology to help align product needs for BD as part of roadmap planning. Support start-up planning and activities if new BD opportunities are captured. **What you bring**

Broad understanding of solution technologies such as software, data, networks, operations, and cloud platforms. Cloud experience is an advantage.
+ **Business understanding in Complex Emerging Markets** – Ability to translate vague, unknown needs into technical requirements and solution design without significant input from potential customers (commercial or government). For greenfield markets, customers often don’t know what they need (even laws are yet to be written), so the ability to navigate this and bring the required structure, thinking and alignment with our solutions/services.
+ **Innovation** – An open mind to try new ways to solve existing and new problems, whilst ensuring the ability to provide a stable and robust system.
+ **Leadership** - Your leadership presence must positively influence technology decisions on a site basis. Ability to build capable teams of leaders that will execute a project delivery. Being able to coach the team, grow and develop leaders within the teams that they are given – and to rate those leaders on a regular basis – is a key job role.
+ **Decision Making** – Ability to act as key technology decision makers for projects and for major decisions for a site (in services). Be able to gather the required information, reach out to relevant experts, and make good tactical/strategic decisions on behalf of IGT for the customer solution.
+ **Good communication** – Ability to convey ideas to external stakeholders and internal stakeholders in a clear and simple manner. Able to build bridges between teams that are instrumental in the success of a project.
+ **Management** - There are large teams allocated to a delivery project, and although you are not responsible for directly managing a project delivery, you are responsible for ensuring the success of the project through the oversight of the technical leaders assigned to the project. Ultimately, be accountable for the solution quality of a delivery and have a team that executes the delivery on your behalf.
**In addition, you bring**
