Job DescriptionThe Business Development Support role plays a key part in driving the district’s commercial success. It supports all business development efforts by ensuring that customer execution aligns seamlessly with internal processes, tools, and expectations. This role combines operational precision with strategic coordination, managing bid responses, reporting and analytics, customer engagement tools, event planning, and the governance of SOPs and KPIs to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support & Enablement
Organize and participate in weekly sales meetings.Manage lead distribution, sales activity tracking, and CRM data quality.Coordinate training sessions for the district sales team.Organize executive visits and support travel/meeting schedules.Support local marketing needs and lead targeted campaigns.Assist in the preparation of customer presentations, leveraging branding templates.Bid & Proposal Management
Coordinate district and regional bids: gather data, ensure quality and deadline compliance.Draft executive summaries and ensure alignment with customer strategy.Act as local expert on bid tools and formatting guidelines.
Account Support & Execution
Maintain SOPs for key accounts, ensuring operations understand customer expectations (rates, KPIs, service levels).Monitor service delivery and escalate performance issues as needed.Provide visibility tools and reporting to customers and internal stakeholders.Support business reviews through analytics, trend identification, and survey responses.Track billing/receivables and assist in collections when required.
Customer Transitions & New Business Support
Support and coordinate onboarding for new business or added services.Own transition planning, documentation, and performance tracking during the ramp-up phase.Manage CAPAs when needed, driving process improvements across functions.
Events & Engagement
Lead coordination of customer-facing events (e.g., business reviews, appreciation events).Partner with regional sales ops on campaign rollouts, newsletters, or event follow-ups.Qualifications
