We're looking for a driven Business Development Representative to generate new business opportunities within the Education and Government sectors, including Higher Education, Government agencies, and Local Government. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sector-specific procurement cycles, budget limitations, and decision-making processes.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities
Generate qualified opportunities within Higher Education and Government sectorsDevelop and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunitiesWork with assigned Account Executives to develop opportunities and approach targeted segmentsSector-Specific Activities
Build relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., IT Directors, CIOs, Procurement Officers)Understand and align outreach with fiscal year planning and budget cyclesDevelop expertise in education GRC technology requirements and government compliance standardsParticipate in education conferences, government vendor fairs, and sector-specific events Skills and ExperienceQualifications
1–3 years of B2B sales development or related experienceBackground in selling to education or government sectors preferredKnowledge of public sector procurement and RFP/RFQ processesKey Skills
Strong communicator with the ability to engage diverse stakeholdersSkilled in research, account mapping, and navigating complex organizationsResilient, process-driven, and effective in managing long sales cyclesExcellent time management and organizational abilities
