Business Development Manager - Supply Chain


Job Summary:

Identifies and drives opportunities for business expansion in the APAC region by aligning Avnet Velocity's supply chain service strategies with customer needs. Builds and maintains strong business relationships by delivering customized, region-specific SCaaS (Supply Chain as a Service) solutions for both new and existing accounts. This role is focused on strategic sales execution, customer engagement, and driving growth across diverse markets. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams while adapting to regional business practices.


Principal Responsibilities:

Acts as a trusted advisor to customers on supply chain services, focusing on operational efficiency and strategic growth.Executes strategic customer development plans in assigned accounts by positioning Avnet Velocity's supply chain offerings.Identifies new business opportunities and leads engagement efforts with procurement and supply chain decision-makers.Collaborates with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, finance, logistics) to deliver tailored SCaaS solutions.Analyzes performance data to assess program effectiveness and identify future growth opportunities.Maintains knowledge of industry trends and competitor service models, with emphasis on customer needs in the APAC market.Supports supplier relationship management in coordination with internal stakeholders.Frequently travels across APAC to engage customers and understand market dynamics.Must be fluent in English and Mandarin; additional language skills in APAC markets are a plus.Other duties as assigned.


Job Level Specifications:

Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics, and customer service models, including SCaaS.

Demonstrated success in sales, account development, and customer relationship management.

Able to manage complex customer requirements and align cross-functional resources to meet business goals.

Proven experience in negotiating and influencing executive-level stakeholders.

Works autonomously to develop and execute account strategies in alignment with regional business objectives.

Recognized internally as a key contributor to strategic sales growth initiatives.


Work Experience:

Minimum experience required is typically 8+ years with bachelor's or equivalent. This is typically the most senior sales position in the company and is reserved for the most experienced sales professionals.


Education and Certification(s):

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
