Your role in our teamAs Business Development Manager Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB), you are part of our Sales team, actively visiting and engaging with customers in the SMB segment. You act as a trusted advisor who proactively builds and nurtures long-term relationships, identifies growth opportunities, and ensures our technology solutions align with customer needs.
This role offers the exciting opportunity to spend significant time in the field, directly interacting with customers, driving business growth, and making a tangible impact on both customer success and Ingram Micro’s growth ambitions.
Your role will emphasize face-to-face customer visits, enabling you to actively listen, advise, and respond to their unique business needs. Being frequently on-site allows you to build deeper relationships, understand market dynamics firsthand, and proactively drive business opportunities.
The position in a nutshellIn this role, you will:
Regularly visit customers to build and strengthen personal business relationships.
Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities to drive growth.
Become a Trusted Advisor for internal and external stakeholders.
Develop insight into your customers' business models, structure, and objectives.
Support customers from order to delivery and keep them informed of changes.
Advise on product and service offerings from our vendors.
Provide information on availability, special offers, and product discontinuations.
Collaborate with Finance to keep customer accounts up to date.
Actively manage and monitor deal progress.
Participate in sales focus days at Ingram Micro.
What we're looking forTo be successful in this role, you have:
Experience in Sales, Account Management, or an administrative environment with proven success.
Strong communication skills in Dutch and French.
Curiosity and motivation to continuously learn in a rapidly changing tech environment.
Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
