As the **Business Development Manager - Emerging Industries** , you will provide leadership and support to assigned account teams to ensure success for our Process Systems & Solutions business group. **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Provide Leadership within Emerging industry verticals including Lithium & Battery, Green Chemicals, and Others.
+ Build a sales plan for systems and software industry growth
+ Lead successful sales activities with pursuits and accounts
+ Lead quarterly industry business reviews
+ Lead internal and customer facing meetings to ensure strategic alignment and identify future opportunities including scope expansion which result in successful sales results for Emerson
+ Engage key stakeholders, including internal and external executives as required
+ Responsible for meeting or exceeding bookings target for industry vertical
+ Support Sales Leadership as needed
+ Develop key relationships with channel partners and customers
+ Drive and facilitate channel partner success through corporate resource utilization and engagement
+ Support Process Systems & Solutions Business Processes
+ Responsible for leading and maintaining key pursuit activities per financial calendar for all assigned account pursuits
+ Responsible for forecasting key projects and account bookings & activities
+ Support and lead key business process such as Delegation of Authority and Opportunity Reviews for pursuits in industry vertical
+ Develop Emerging Industry Marketing and Sales Messaging
+ Document and educate sales channel on value enablers and industry relevant applications
+ Create market message and sales strategies for emerging industries
+ Lead community of practice team responsible for comprehensive market strategy and project pursuits
+ Develop quantifiable business results that can be brought to bear for other pursuits

You are a sales professional that serves as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts. You readily distinguish between what’s relevant and what’s unimportant to make sense of complex situations. You are decisive and make high-quality decisions, even when based on incomplete information or in the face of uncertainty. You convey clear performance expectations and follow up consistently while delegating in a way that empowers ownership. You enjoy developing networks. You have a passion for helping customers meet their business objectives. You have a keen understanding of how and when you apply technology to business problems and reporting on the results
**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Undergraduate Degree
+ 4+ years of relevant experience in the Process Automation industry
+ Willingness to travel up to 30%
+ Legal Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
**Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:**
+ Degree in Engineering or Technical Fields
+ MBA
+ Proven results in creating business growth and building effective relationships
+ Relevant industry experience
+ Operations background a plus
