A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Business Development Manager to join our Power & Service Solutions team in Jakarta. In this role, you will be responsible for developing market strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and driving long-term value creation aligned with our vision of becoming the leading power solutions provider in Indonesia.

Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defense vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

Key Accountabilities

Identifying New Opportunities: Conduct market research, analyze customer needs, and expand the sales pipeline through qualified prospects.Building Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Deliver compelling presentations.Developing Strategies: Create and implement business plans for market expansion, new product launches, and increased sales.Analyzing Data: Use market research and sales data to inform strategy and decision-making.Negotiating: Lead contract discussions and agreement finalization with clients and partners.Partner Network: Identify, evaluate, and manage business partners to drive performance and long-term collaboration.Reporting: Prepare and present business plans, reports, and proposal tracking updates. Support internal and external audits.Collaboration: Align with Marketing, Sales, Service, and Finance teams to ensure integrated customer solutions.Special Assignments: Support ad hoc strategic or operational initiatives as required.Monitor and deliver on KPIs.Conduct regular reviews of strategy and adjust action plans accordingly.Adhere to company policies, Code of Conduct, Compliance, ISO standards, Quality Management System and HSE.Ensure timely and accurate reporting as per company regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.Proficient in English (spoken and written).Competent in Microsoft Office and SAP.Minimum 8 years of experience in B2B industrial sales, including at least 3 years in a business development role.Strong strategic thinking, market analysis, and relationship-building skills.Familiarity with CRM tools and lead generation practices.Proactive, accountable, and team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.Proven track record in business target achievement, strategic development, and execution.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
