Position Summary
Job Summary: The Business Development Manager oversees all aspects of programming, operations, business development ensuring aggressive business growth through strategic partnership management, operational excellence, and comprehensive administrative oversight. This role combines hands-on operational management with strategic business development across all regional facilities and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Partnership Management
+ Identify and execute strategic business opportunities for all programs while building mutually beneficial relationships with schools, recreation departments, community centers, and partnership facilities
+ Ensure optimization of brand presence at all programming sites and generate maximum revenue from existing partnerships through effective supervision and communication
+ Manage community outreach by developing relationships with local businesses and grassroots organizations while overseeing broader marketing strategy and grassroots campaigns
+ Set up and coordinate promotional events to drive regional growth and market presence
+ Serve as the main point of contact for clients and partners, program offerings, logistics, and feedback while managing transactions such as enrollments, credits, and refunds
+ Address client concerns with timely communication, escalating when necessary, and support revenue growth through relationship building
Strategic Leadership & Administrative Support
+ Document internal processes and assist with special projects and new program launches
+ Develop and execute comprehensive staffing strategies that align with organizational growth plans and budget objectives
+ Conduct long-term staffing forecasting (quarterly and annually), incorporating business growth plans, market trends, and seasonal variations
+ Hire, train, and schedule local staff ensuring 7-day coverage, conduct regular performance reviews and run seasonal meetings in coordination with coaching department
+ Implement equipment management process including inventory tracking, maintenance protocols, and replacement schedules
+ Oversee equipment safety compliance

Requirements
Who You Are:
+ Aspiring Sales Professional and Business Development Manager: Eager to gain hands-on experience in sales, business development, or marketing. Previous sales experience with strong aptitude and enthusiasm.
+ Highly Motivated & Self-Starter: Capable of managing your own schedule and responsibilities effectively with minimal supervision.
+ Exceptional Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to connect easily with people from all backgrounds.
+ Natural Networker: Comfortable initiating conversations, building rapport, and making immediate connections.
+ Passion for Youth & Sports: A genuine enthusiasm for youth development and the positive impact of sports.
+ Reliable Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle are required for field activities.
+ Background Check: Ability to pass a background screening.
+ Child-Friendly: Comfortable and enthusiastic about working around young children.
+ Resident of Staten Island is a plus
