You will join the Siemens QLD team with responsibility for developing business across focus verticals (e.g., Water/Wastewater, Food and Beverage, Manufacturing/OEMs, Infrastructure, Transport, Renewables etc).
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Key Stakeholders in the Siemens Ecosystem – Your prime focus is to drive customer specifications while working closely and collaboratively with Siemens’ internal teams and the partner network (Siemens Master Distributor, Siemens Solution Partners etc)Identify New Business Opportunities – Evaluate and pursue new business opportunities, new customer groups, and new leads - to position Siemens’ cutting-edge technologyCollaboration – Work closely with sales teams to create and implement mid-to-long term strategies that drive market expansion and revenue growthMarket & Competitor Analysis – Conduct in-depth research to identify industry trends, emerging markets, and competitive insights that shape our business approachSupport Strategic Planning – Utilise CRM and sales tools to enhance forecasting, manage customer relationships, and track sales activities.
What You Bring:
Proven experience in business development and sales focused on automation, drives, SCADA, networks and/or industrial technologyStrong analytical skills to evaluate sub-markets, competitors, and business opportunitiesExcellent communication skills, negotiation experience, and relationship-building abilitiesA bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related fieldExperience with sales and account planning, campaign management, and an understanding of the Challenger Sales ModelProven track record for high quality of sales forecasting and some experience with sales forecasting software (e.g., Outreach sales forecasting tools)Proven track record for achieving growth, sales and revenue targetsProven track record for competitor conversions and driving of specificationsGood knowledge of relevant Siemens portfolio: Siemens PLC Controllers (SIMATIC S7-1200, S7-1500, ET200SP), Siemens Software (TIA Portal, STEP 7, WinCC), Siemens IO Systems (ET 200X), Siemens Drive Technology (SINAMICS G120, G220, S120, G115D), Siemens Industrial Communication (SCALANCE), Siemens Panels (WinCC Unified), SIMATIC IOT Gateways, Siemens Industrial PCs. Process Control knowledge could be an advantageWillingness to travel in NSW - up to 70% of the time for client meetings, industry events, and market development activities.
