We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team, focused on expanding and deepening our partnerships with district and charter schools across Northern California. This role is ideal for a self-motivated sales professional with a passion for making a positive impact on student health through access to nutritious meals.

As the Business Development Manager, you will identify new school prospects, re-engage former clients, and build strong relationships with decision-makers to grow our school meal programs. Your efforts will help eliminate barriers to healthy eating for students while contributing to business growth.

What You’ll Do

Drive new business development by identifying and engaging with K-12 district and charter schools. Reconnect with lost or inactive accounts to rebuild relationships and recover opportunities. Partner with internal teams to design and implement meal engagement strategies that support client needs and increase student participation. Support sales-related events such as tastings, trade shows, client appreciation events, and school engagement nights. Collaborate on presentation upgrades for school meal service and support new program rollouts, including breakfast, lunch, and supper services. Represent the company at community and school-facing events to raise awareness and strengthen partnerships.

What You Bring

Proven track record of success in business development or sales, preferably in foodservice, education, or related sectors. Self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage a pipeline, and hit targets without constant oversight. Strong communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills. Reliable personal transportation and be able to travel locally 50–75% of the time to school sites. Mileage reimbursement is provided in accordance with company policy. Experience in school nutrition or knowledge of K-12 operations is a plus, but not required. Bachelor's degree preferred but not essential.
