The College of Western Idaho (CWI) is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand the reach of our Employer Education Team by cultivating relationships with local businesses and industries leading to new custom training engagements. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership Development
+ Identify and cultivate relationships with local businesses, industries, and community organizations to support custom training initiatives
+ Serve as a key liaison between CWI and industry partners , ensuring programs align with workforce needs
Custom Training Program Development
+ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement training programs tailored to local labor market demands
+ Coordinate with training providers and educators to build effective training programs
Market & Program Analysis
+ Initiate and interpret market research in partnership with internal teams to identify emerging trends and opportunities in employer education
+ Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of custom training programs using data-driven approaches
Outreach & Promotion
+ Develop and execute strategic outreach initiatives to promote custom training programs
+ Prepare regular reports on business development activities and program outcomes for the Executive Director of Employer Education
What We’re Looking For:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in business development, workforce development, or a related field
+ Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
+ Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
+ CRM Expertise: Implementation, Customization, and Optimization a plus but not needed
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
Additional Instructions For Applicants:
Most positions at CWI are in-person and based on campus. While some roles may allow up to two remote workdays per week, eligibility for remote work is determined on a case-by-case basis at the hiring manager's discretion. All candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance from CWI. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
