At Xylem, you will have the opportunity to solve water by participating in our paid Volunteer Program, Xylem Watermark! **THE ROLE:** The Business Development Manager - Infrastructure develops and maintains relationships with strategically important large customers and is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned National account (global and regional) objectives. In addition, The Business Development Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers in the CIPP and Construction verticals while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company. We offer a full benefits package to include Flexible Time Off (FTO) for salaried positions, health, dental, vision, investment savings plan, and additional miscellaneous benefits. **CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:** To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. · Serve as a market segment expert, understanding both the broad landscape of the market as well as the granularities of it, including the key players, competitive threats, and levers for success. · Builds industry and customer alliances and participates in industry/trade organizations. · Develops content for and/or participates in training events for customers and sales organization. · Demonstrates thought leadership by presenting in industry seminars, leading webinars and publishing white papers. · Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations. · Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts. · Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis. · Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel. · Enlists the support of sales, marketing, product management, engineering, operations, and all other resources required on an as needed basis. · Closely coordinates company leadership and executive involvement with customer management as required. · Works closely with Customer Service to ensure customer satisfaction (positive net promoter score) and problem resolution is managed in a timely manner. · Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities Additional Responsibilities: · Achieves assigned sales quota in designated national accounts. · Meets assigned expectations for profitability. · Achieves national customer objectives defined by company management. · Completes National customer account plans that meet company standards. · Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings (positive net promoter score) that meet company requirements. **QUALIFICATIONS:** · Four year college degree from an accredited institution or equivalent business experience · Minimum five years of regional or national sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment · Solid presentation skills with small, large and diverse groups · PC proficiency, CRM, CPQ and all relative Microsoft Suite products **DAY IN THE LIFE:** · Light lifting (20-25 pounds), office environment · Ability to safely operate a company vehicle continuously for a minimum of 2 hours per day as needed. · Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about facility. · Office: Standard office equipment; work usually performed in an office setting free from any disagreeable elements. · Job Site: Intermittent exposure to jobsite conditions and hazards; mines, construction sites, industrial/power plants, wastewater treatment plants, etc. Intermittent exposure to all outdoor weather conditions; intermittent exposure to shop and job site noise (to maximums of 95 decibels) · Standard weekly job hours:40Travel requirement: · This position requires extensive travel in North America with a minimum being 50%. Some global travel may be required. **SALARY:** The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $125,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
