The position is responsible for creating and capturing significant new business for Parker Hannifin by executing Product Development and Market Development strategies in the Automotive, Biopharma, Energy & Extraction, and Industrial markets (“Expansion Activities”). The position works on a global scale, across languages, cultures, and time zones. This position will be located in the United States.
Responsibilities:
+ Team Leadership: Lead a cross-functional team comprising engineers, sourcing specialists, quality assurance experts, and manufacturing personnel to successfully launch major global product lines.
+ Market and Product Development: Oversee Market Development and Product Development initiatives (utilizing the Ansoff Matrix) from initial concept through to commercialization on a global scale, employing the DIA process.
+ Strategic Planning: Develop strategies and tactics for future investment areas, including pricing, channel, promotional, and product line strategies.
+ Market Analysis: Define Served Available Markets and Target Markets by analyzing customer needs.
+ Business Model Innovation: Propose new business models as needed to introduce innovative solutions to the market.
+ Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly engage with potential customers, alliance partners, and channel partners to validate or invalidate value hypotheses for new business ventures.
+ Opportunity Management: Maintain a pipeline of opportunities exceeding $10MM(MYS), successfully converting $1MM per annum in revenue, nomination letter, or other recognized business-award mechanism.
+ Sales Collaboration:Work closely with sales teams to facilitate local product roll-outs.
+ Program Management:Manage multiple growth programs and various stages of the DIA Process simultaneously, recognizing when it may be necessary to terminate programs due to commercial or technical challenges, and adapt by initiating new programs or incubation activities.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a field of business or technical field of study with ten years or more of customer-facing experience.
+ Previous Business Development experience and previous experience with Global Product/Market Launches
+ Previous experience negotiating with customers in a high-stakes environment
+ Skilled in Precision Question and Answering (PQ&A) tactics/techniques.
+ Familiarity across EMG Sealing, Chemical, and NVH Solutions
+ Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
+ Excellent verbal and written communication at an executive level (in-person and virtual).
+ Fluent in written and spoken English. Additional languages are of benefit and should be noted.
+ Must be action-oriented and have a high-tolerance for working in ambiguous environments.
+ Ability to lead cross-functional, cross-regional teams; providing SMART actions required to drive projects to revenue-generation.
+ Must be able to travel 50% of time.
This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
