Your Role at ZEISS Digital Innovation

In your role in Business Development Management, you have a significant influence on shaping the future of ZEISS Digital Innovation. Your responsibility is to ensure the continuous development and successful implementation of our software service portfolio. Our focus is particularly on discrete value creation in the semiconductor, electronics, and automotive industries, as well as in process manufacturing.

Your tasks include two fields of activity:

Strategic portfolio development for customized software solutionsIndependent analysis and needs assessment of various industries regarding software applications and market trendsSelf-reliant development and testing of suitable go-to-market strategiesStrategy development for needs-oriented approach aimed at acquiring specific target customers (in close collaboration with our Sales & Marketing team)Supporting the development of necessary competencies within ZEISS Digital Innovation (e.g., programming languages, software tools, specific expertise in the field of manufacturing)Operational tasksIndependent design and management of presales projectsEarly conversations and consultations with our customers regarding their digitalization projectsCreation of high-quality content (e.g., position papers, white papers, presentations)

You will also need the following skills and experience:

Strong understanding and hands-on experience in digitalization projects in manufacturing, as well as in the topics of Industry 4.0 / IIoT, factory and process planning, special machine construction, supply chain management, and quality managementSolid theoretical and practical knowledge of digitalization strategies as well as economic assessment regarding digital applications / software solutions in manufacturingExtensive experience in business and strategy consulting is desirableA good network in the industry is an advantageVery good, practical experience in lean management and value stream design, as well as with the ISA-95 standardPractical experience in the design, planning, and implementation of comprehensive software applicationsExcellent language skills (spoken and written) as well as communication / presentation skills on C1 or C2 level in both German and English
