This Business Development Executive (BDE) opportunity is to support the Clinical Trial Division in the Bioservices (bio repository) and transportation team within the Pharma Services Group (PSG) of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Candidates with previous experience within Bioservices, Biobank, cold chain storage, transportation or logistics would be suitable for this role.

A day in the Life:
+ New Business Development including researching, identifying and qualify opportunities within given territory for fit with Pharma Services Group (PSG), using personal network, interaction with other PSG and Thermo Fisher teams and following up on leads
+ Crafting and implementing sales programs for new prospective clients to increase awareness of our service offering and key differentiators from our competition
+ Analyze and understand funding mechanisms and sources and flow of funding for the market
+ Attend tradeshows/ conferences/ seminars
+ Identify and communicate our value proposition, including opportunities for strategic bundling of our services
+ Enable winning quotations and have a key role to play in the contract negotiation phase
+ Handle, update, maintain and record all relevant activities in the SFDC database, and share information and background on prospective clients within the territory to our partners
+ Work with business intelligence platforms and other internal digital tools to enhance your ability to find and advance new opportunities.

Education
+ Bachelor’s degree in a science related field, such as pharmaceutics; chemistry or biology preferred
Experience
+ Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and an advanced degree or equivalent work experience.
+ Previous experience with cold storage, logistics or supply chain from outside life sciences industry will still be considered.
+ Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platform preferred.
+ Previous experience selling CDMO services preferred

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
+ Ability to determine customer needs and provide tailored solutions
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
+ This role primarily operates in a professional office environment with travel up to 50% of working time within territory, including regular overnight stays
