**Job Title:** Business Development Executive
**Location:** Colombo, Sri Lanka

**Reports To:** Sales Regional Director
**Primary Roles and Responsibilities**
Drive candidate volumes for **PTE Academic** through targeted sales and marketing campaigns in collaboration with partners, educational institutions, schools, and colleges.
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with academic partners to support test preparation and drive registrations.
Deliver exceptional customer service standards throughout the test delivery and support process.
Promote and support the sale of PTE Academic resources and courseware.
Maintain and update daily sales reports in line with the regional sales plan.
Work closely with the Sales Regional Director to implement growth strategies and identify new business opportunities.
Attend and represent the organization at events, education fairs, conferences, and promotional activities to raise brand awareness and generate leads.
Conduct local market surveys to inform regional strategy and enhance market intelligence.
Manage existing partner channels and actively explore new partnership opportunities within the assigned territory.
Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned to support regional business goals.
**Candidate Qualifications, Experience, and Skills**
**Required:**
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline
1–2 years of experience in business development, sales, or customer-facing roles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage confidently with new contacts
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented
**Willingness to travel within Colombo and across Sri Lanka as required**
**Preferred:**
Experience in the education, assessment, or edtech sector
Familiarity with standardized English proficiency tests such as PTE Academic, IELTS, or TOEFL
Prior involvement in student outreach or academic partnerships
**Note:** This is a travel-intensive, field-based role. Candidates must be comfortable commuting regularly within Colombo and extensively to other regions in Sri Lanka, like Kandy.
