Business Development Analyst
Summary The Business Development Analyst is a part of the Security Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) Business Development Team of Chenega Corporation. This position supports subsidiary leaders in achieving business development goals through assisting with lead generation, opportunity capture, pipeline, and proposal development, as well as contributes to the maintenance of favorable customer relationships, and development of competitive advantages. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, is naturally inquisitive and seeks to learn constantly, is very detail oriented, is able to focus for extended periods of time, has a tenacious follow-up ability, holds themselves accountable for their quality of work, is organized and capable of following detailed instruction, will be able to work well in team settings or independently while being able to maintain high levels of confidentiality when communicating with subsidiary leaders and their teams and maintain a desire to grow with the organization. Responsibilities What You'll Get To Do: Develops high-quality, organized, concise, and requirement specific summaries for federal Government opportunities of interest to support opportunity analysis, pipeline development, bid/no-bid decisions, capture, and proposal development. Monitors, follows, and reports acquisition and procurement updates of business opportunities of interest leveraging existing business development resources (e.g., GovWin IQ, SAM, usaspending.gov, and FPDS). Tracks, compares, and summarizes iterations of Request for Proposals (RFPs), modifications, amendments, and updates issued by the federal Government agencies to identify key requirement changes and assess impacts. Supports requests for gathering and retrieving relevant information located in internal business development systems and external business development resources (e.g., GovWin IQ, SAM usaspending.gov, and FPDS). Contributes to the maintenance, accuracy, and completeness of opportunity records within the SSBU’s CRM systems by inputting opportunity details, adjusting opportunity timelines, and detailing developments as well as interactions of Customer interface. Regularly reviews all active opportunities within the SSBU’s pipeline to ensure records are current, complete, and accurate to the data reflected in procurement systems. Responsible for documenting and organizing discussion points from internal BD meetings to ensure key takeaways, themes, strategic insights, and actionable items are preserved and accessible to stakeholders. Attends and documents key takeaways from federal and industry webinars. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications You'll Bring These Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience may be substituted for formal education. Relevant coursework as part of a completed undergraduate degree or internship with direct experience in a Business Development, Market Research or Federal Contracting role in a for-profit enterprise. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be a team player who communicates effectively through written and oral means to all levels, including Senior executives. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to respond to changes in work direction. Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database programs such as MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Project, SharePoint and Outlook as well as be versed in AI Tools Must be process-driven and be capable of assisting with the integration of automation to improve process efficiencies.: Demonstrated knowledge of the government’s procurement processes and general understanding of the processes that support the capture of federal government contracts including marketing to the government buyer and leveraging the benefits of the Small Business Possess a knowledge and understanding of the Business Development Lifecycle (identify, qualify, research, capture, proposal development), competitive research and analysis. Demonstrated experience in the understanding of Professional Services for the Federal Government. Proficient with the use of business intelligence tools and possess a demonstrated knowledge of the business development process.
