JOB OVERVIEW
Location of position: Lisle, IL
As our Major Projects Modernization Business Developer, you will be responsible for establishing the business development opportunities to enable profitable growth by building key Americas and global customers, including building owners, developers, architects, property managers and consultants. You will be a critical player in executing the business strategy for major projects, both in the Americas and global – you will also collaborate with the global modernization team to further develop the sales and pricing models, tools and processes.
You will bring 8+ years of progressive sales and/or general management in related construction or building services industries to KONE. You will use the knowledge gained through your bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
JOB DUTIES
Strategic Planning
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats.
Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders.
Lead negotiations and close deals with potential partners and clients.
Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals.
Operational Excellence
Oversee the development and execution of business development initiatives and projects.
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities.
Ensures early engagement practices are in place, supported by solution selling and relationship selling strategy.
Define the scope and requirements for Major Project modernization-related market/business intelligence and related tools, Major Project modernization branding, positioning of service offerings and Major Project modernization marketing initiatives to generate demand creation. Work collaboratively with Marketing, Sales Effectiveness and other related groups to develop, disseminate and implement as appropriate.
Market Analysis
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
Analyze data to inform strategic decisions and business development plans.
Stay informed about industry developments and regulatory changes that may impact the business.
Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals.

Annual Base Pay Range:
The hiring range for this role is $156,640.00 to $215,380.00. The compensation package offered will depend on their ability to meet the requirements of the role and a range of factors unique to each candidate, including their skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location.
Variable Compensation
KONE Annual Bonus plan at 20% Target Incentive based on achievement of company goals and individual goals.
