What we want
The Business Coordinator II is responsible for account and grants management for TAMU, TEES , SRS, and TAMU Foundation accounts. Requires monitoring of grants and other PI budgets, preparation of monthly reports on budget activity for department administration and faculty.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ 3 years of related experience in general office, accounting or personnel operations.
Preferred Experience:
+ More than 3 years' experience in general office, accounts payable, accounts receivable or a combination of all
Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Use of general office equipment
+ Knowledge of TAMU Systems FAMIS/Canopy, AggieBuy, Concur, iPayments
+ Working use of Excel, Word and Filemaker
Responsibilities
Business Processes
+ Manages all funded accounts for MPHY that includes state, local, gift and awarded grants from various sponsors.
+ Reviews funding and prepares budget projections for monthly meetings with PIs.
+ Plans, develops, implements, and coordinates unit purchasing activities.
+ Provides daily business support to the Department of Medical Physiology that includes Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Travel.
+ Maintains business files (paper & electronic) and prepares and disseminates correspondence related to business processes and policy.
+ Acts as a liaison to Sponsored Research Services, Financial Management Operations, Travel and Research Lab Staff.
+ Reviews monthly and annual reports for validity and accuracy.
+ Develops financial reports for department and business staff.
+ Resolves or proposes solutions to complex financial issues involving AggieBuy and Concur.
Support Services
+ Performs fiscal year closing and new fiscal year activities.
+ Assists Security in identifying recipients of MREB 2 deliveries.
+ Provides general business support to the MPHY faculty & staff and Basic Science support staff as needed.
+ Performs other staff duties related to day-to-day activities.
+ Collaborates with Business Coordinators across the Basic Sciences in a centralized business model to review and develop standardized business processes to facilitate improvements.
+ Participates in the hiring of subordinate business classified staff and student employees. Coordinates with ALT PO in the creation of assets for state inventory.
+ Assists with developing policies, procedures and guidelines by providing recommendations and guidance based on user experience.
Training
+ Provides supervision for student employees.
+ Acts as mentor and provides one-on-one training to new business and research lab staff in the use of AggieBuy, Concur and other TAMU systems.
