Business Controller

As a Business Controller, you will become part of the Business Control team and support the Business Unit Managers and the Finance Director by providing timely financial and analytical insights.

You will contribute to improving operational processes across the Benelux and ensure the accuracy of the financial administration. In this role, you will be responsible for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and play a key role in the commercial and financial management in the Benelux. While each Business Controller has a dedicated area of expertise, this role specifically focuses on supporting the Business Unit Vision Care and Photonics & Optics. At the same time, you will collaborate with your colleagues in Business Control to provide broader support to other business units as needed.

The key responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

You support and challenge Business units by analyzing financial results, sales data, and marketing campaigns to strengthen future decision-making.

You independently review financial performance and analyze variances against last year and budget expectations.

You handle reporting, forecasting, and budgeting in close collaboration with local sales management and headquarters.

You advise and challenge the Business Units on multiple aspects.

You lead or actively participate in key strategic projects within Vision Care.

You identify business processes that require improvement.

You provide guidance on Corporate Reporting requirements and analyze, understand, and communicate the impact of accounting changes to the Finance Director.

You dedicate time to developing new skills that will benefit your role and future growth.

Required knowledge & experience

We expect that you have a master’s degree in Finance or a bachelor’s degree with relevant working experience.

We also ask that you have at least 2 years of professional reporting experience, preferably in a multinational corporation where you gained a strong knowledge in Business Analysis and decision-making support.

Experience in pricing, marketing, or sales controlling is a strong advantage.

You are a problem solver with excellent analytical abilities and solid Excel skills.

Familiarity with Power BI and advanced Excel functionalities is a plus.

In addition to Dutch, you have an excellent command of English.

You are open to work from our office in Belgium (once/twice per month).

Your background clearly demonstrates your ability to learn quickly.
