Business Continuity Lead

Reporting into the Operational Risk & Resilience Manager, the role will support and oversee the business continuity and operational resilience capabilities of FCE.
**Business Continuity & Resilience Advice**
+ Assist with the implementation of the DORA regulation.
+ Assist with the implementation of future FCA/PRA resilience regulations.
+ Support FCE-wide understanding of Operational Resilience, including development of training initiatives consistent with industry best practices and the requirements of the regulator.
+ Support the business with Resilience related actions including coordinating self-assessment, process mapping, IBS identification, impact tolerance setting and scenario testing across FCE.
+ Support other Operational Resilience improvement opportunities.
+ As part of FCE's management of Operational Resilience, co-ordinate Business Continuity (BC) planning:
+ Support BC planning and management across all FCE geographic locations by evaluating and co-ordinating Central Office support including from IT and Legal, if required.
+ Co-ordinate BC Testing for FCE
+ Ensure Business Impact Analysis is maintained and updated as appropriate across FCE, including alignment with IT applications and outsourced suppliers.
+ Identify and recommend BC improvement actions in line with regulatory guidance, industry best practice and global standards. Co-ordinate completion and implementation of agreed actions.
+ Establish & maintain up to date BC relevant documentation in FCE, in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practice
+ In the event of a BC incident impacting UK locations, support appropriate actions initiated in line with BC plan. Provide guidance and directions if / when required. Be “go to” person for staff and first point of contact for external provider of BC back-up site.
+ Ensure cost efficiency and effectiveness of FCE’s BC arrangements.
**Governance**
+ As an attendee at the Executive Operational Risk & Resilience Committee, review, analyse and develop submissions to the committee, ensuring both inward and outward considerations.
+ Report on a regular basis status updates on BC Management & Operational Resilience Dashboard within FCE to the Operational Risk & Resilience Committee, including recommendations for action as required.
+ Provide insightful consideration of emerging BC, Pandemic and Resilience related risks and ensure appropriate utilisation of the governance and escalation processes.
+ Support the Op Risk Governance Committees i.e. ensure meeting materials are submitted on a timely basis, provide backup to the Chairs, focus on reviewing the inputs, challenging the functions/locations and ensuring quality submissions to the Committees, review/draft minutes.
**Essential Experience:**
+ Experience gained in the financial services sector.
+ Proven experience in risk management, operational resilience, business continuity, audit, or a related field within a financial institution or regulated environment.
+ Good understanding of UK, EU, and international resilience regulations and standards, including NIST, DORA, FCA, and PRA guidelines.
+ Ability to collaborate with IT and Operational teams, including locations in France, Spain and Italy, providing constructive challenge and advice on business continuity and operational resilience.
+ Experience with risk management frameworks and methodologies.
**Skills and Competencies:**
+ Resilient and adaptable, able to handle high-pressure situations and provide advice within short timescales.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
+ Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, including to Senior Management and Non-Exec Director Level.
