Business Application Analyst Senior
**Description** Become part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 teammates, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve. **Summary:** Provides a high level of financial and technical support and serves as team lead in designing, implementing and managing multiple health care system business applications. Functions as primary liaison with managers, users, and information systems to facilitate resolution of systems and applications problems. Develops and implements SQL or other query language to enhance system interfaces and analysis. **Responsibilities:** 1. Conducts financial/operational analysis for departmental and institutional planning and process improvement. Identifies through data analysis, opportunities for improvement in business or application processing. 2. Documents detailed business processes and associated application processing. Takes lead in development and implementation of required system changes. 3. Evaluates requests and consults in design for new or modified computer applications, solutions, reports and interfaces to determine feasibility and compatibility with current system. Identifies and recommends solution development for larger and complex projects and ensures best practice development. Formulates and develops plans at a high level and documents required steps to achieve stated requirements. Reviews plans with management/peers as appropriate. 4. Responsible for creating and running test scripts to support enhanced functionality and to ensure accuracy of requested system enhancements. 5. Functions as a technical consultant to the health care system and maintains high service levels. Participates in system wide initiatives to improve efficiency and reach institutional goals and objectives. 6. Assists other health care system teams with selection and technical evaluation of products and tools to ensure that the proposed solution adheres to enterprise-wide requirements, adapts to new requirements and changing technologies in order to meet business standardization protocols and objectives. 7. May supervise and provide guidance to Business Applications Analysts or Finance Directors to ensure best practices, standard methodologies and processes are executed. 8. Maintains a high level of customer service and support. Provides business process, application support, and training to system super-users. Analyzes and interprets program or system problems and coordinates resolution. Communicates as necessary with vendors and Information Services to resolve problems. 9. Takes lead and works independently in providing training for users, providing tips and techniques of using systems applications for desired results. Coordinates employee training for new system implementation. Assists with workflow modifications. 10. Responsible for implementing and leading major system processes and ensuring that the data is accurate before it is released to the business leaders. This includes rolling systems over for next reporting period to ensure smooth transitions for end users. 11.
