Inviting applications for the role Business Analyst Warehouse Logistic Coordinator
This is a Logistics Specialist position. The logistics specialist will offer strategic guidance to guarantee timely shipments. This role demands operating in a high-pressure environment with a strong sense of urgency to meet a 24-hour service level agreement (SLA) from order to shipment. It involves considerable risk if deliveries are not made on time, requiring quick thinking and decision-making under stress. The logistics specialist role requires both analytical thinking and extensive coordination across the supply chain to drive efficiency, mitigate risks, and enhance overall performance. This role would be directly reporting to Genpact Service Delivery Leader. The role is based at the client’s location. It will also require this individual to take operational instructions from the client stakeholder, to ensure their goals are met. Position interacts with all levels of managers and agents within the company. There is a high degree of client interaction. Work effectively with all departments including, but not limited to Compliance, IT, Quality, Legal, HR, etc.
Specific duties and responsibilities are described below:
· 1. Strategic Optimization
· Develop and implement advanced strategies to optimize shipments, improve on-time delivery, and enhance cost efficiency using lean methodologies.
· Lead initiatives to continuously refine logistics processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
· 2. Transport Management System Leadership
· Oversee the integrity and compliance of the transport management system (OTM), ensuring seamless integration with other business systems.
· Drive system enhancements and updates to support evolving business needs.
· 3. Service Level Enhancement
· Evaluate and lead efforts to optimize transport modes and service levels, aligning them with strategic business objectives.
· Collaborate with senior management to set benchmarks and performance targets.
· 4. Non-Conformity Resolution
· Spearhead investigations into logistics non-conformities, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures.
· Establish protocols for continuous improvement based on root cause analysis.
· 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders, members of the Gas Power Logistics team, and business operations to align logistics strategy with broader organizational goals.
· Act as a liaison between departments to ensure cohesive execution of logistics plans.
· 6. Customer Service Excellence
· Champion initiatives to provide exceptional customer service, setting standards for responsiveness and satisfaction.
· Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve customer interactions.
· 7. Data Accountability and Reporting
· Ensure the accuracy and availability of OTM and logistics-related data, driving insights through comprehensive KPI reporting.
· Utilize data analytics to inform strategic decisions and optimize performance.
· 8. Planning and Management:
· Proactively seeking solutions to improve logistics services and drive cost efficiencies, developing and implementing logistics plans impacting production, distribution, and inventory, or managing the movement of goods, materials, or products.
· 9. Analytical and Problem-Solving:
Demand Forecasting:Analyze historical data and market trends to predict future demand, ensuring inventory levels are optimized to meet customer needs without overstocking.Route Optimization:Evaluate transportation routes using data analytics to identify the most efficient paths, reducing delivery times and costs while maintaining service quality.Performance Metrics Analysis:Regularly assess key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, cost per shipment, and order accuracy to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic changes.Risk Assessment:Conduct thorough risk analyses to anticipate potential disruptions in the supply chain, such as supplier delays or geopolitical issues, and develop contingency plans
· 10. Technical Proficiency:
· Strong working knowledge of logistics software, warehouse management systems (WMS), data analytics tools, or transportation management systems (TMS).
· 11 Coordination Across the Supply Chain
This role demands a high level of coordination with all aspects of the supply chain to ensure seamless operations:
Cross-Department Collaboration:Work closely with procurement, production, and distribution teams to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives and ensure smooth execution of plans.Supplier Engagement:Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and address any issues that may arise promptly.Customer Communication:Coordinate with customer service teams to provide accurate delivery information and resolve any logistical challenges that impact on customer satisfaction.Technology Integration:Collaborate with IT teams to ensure logistics systems are integrated effectively with other business systems, facilitating real-time data sharing and decision-makingQualifications
Minimum qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree· Minimum of 4yrs working in Logistics or warehouse operations· Proficiency in various MS Office applications, especially Excel, Power Point etc· Self-starter and ability to work independently on running smooth staffing sales and operation process· Ability to work and coordinate with clients and various internal teams at GenpactPreferred qualifications
· Experience using Oracle E-Business Applications, or similar business intelligence applications· Experience in Contract/Proposal and Purchase Order analysis· Strong analytical skills· Background in Information Systems a PLUS· Excellent customer interaction and communication skills· Must be able to work in multi-disciplinary teams· Thorough knowledge of Microsoft products with an emphasis on Excel· Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals· Preferred at least 4 years’ experience in a logistics roleWhy join Genpact?

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity
