Business Analyst - Vendor Optimisation

This position is offered on a Fixed Term Contract of 6 (SIX) months term. There is potential for the contract to be extended to 12 (TWELVE) months depending on client and business needs.

What You Will Do: 

As a Senior Consultant / Business Analyst with Guidehouse, you will have responsibility for client management, solution implementation and generation of project results. You will own project workstreams and interact with the client daily to ensure engagement success. This includes supporting day-to-day operational meetings with client sponsors and consulting leaders. As a Senior Consultant, you will be expected to prepare and communicate well-organized, effective reports and presentations to client and internal executives. You will lead, coach and mentor consultants and ensure quality deliverables.

As a Business Analyst, you will work on a project to implement capabilities for an enterprise financial software system and web application on an Agile product development team. You will analyze requirements, develop user stories, and work closely with stakeholders, UX designers, application architects, and developers to ensure technical and system requirements are accounted for. You will also work closely with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to plan and organize Sprints. Additional responsibilities will include:  

Process improvement 

Critically review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs, ultimately producing clear proposals, documentation, and/or deliverables 

Apply analysis of business systems and software solutions to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of work processes for both current and future business needs 

Support the mapping and assessment of current business processes, including operating responsibilities, risks/issues, inefficiencies, time spent etc. 

Design and map proposed new ways of working focusing on streamlining and automating tasks 

Document business workflows and requirements 

With product leadership, continually optimize business analysis and requirements gathering processes 

Support presentations to leadership on assessment findings, recommended new ways of working and business case for change. 

Provide input to the approach and planning for business process change management  

Lead or supporting implementation of business process transformation and change. 

Facilitate discussions with the right stakeholders to clarify the scope 

Work closely with product owners and managers to convert business use cases into actionable tasks for the development team 

Conduct presentations and communicate product features to both technical and non-technical communities and aids in the coordination and communication of cross-team initiatives 

 

Vendor optimisation 

With the business owner, understanding vendor network optimisation objectives and approach, particularly entity compliance insourcing 

Support the identification of opportunities for insourcing, including complexity analysis and cost/benefit. 

Coordinate the transition of compliance delivery insourcing arrangements, acting as the liaison between internal and external stakeholders.  

Reporting progress to workstream leads and PMO. 

Prepare and deliver status updates, working sessions, and program area updates 

 
What You Will Need: 

Bachelor’s degree  

A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Business Analyst working on operational improvement projects 

Strong experience with process map software such as Visio, Draw.io, or equivalent 

Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills 

Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities 

Customer-service oriented 

Ability to maintain a big-picture vision while defining very detailed requirements 

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and MS PowerPoint 

 
What Would Be Nice to Have: 

Experience with project or work management software such as JIRA, Confluence 

Experience with multi-jurisdiction vendor management 

Experience with document automation or robotic process automation 

Familiar with information technology architecture, governance, and data exchange
