The Business Analyst III offers an outstanding opportunity to work on extraordinarily ambitious projects that impact global operations! You will evaluate business processes and user requirements related to enterprise-wide enabling technologies, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. Leading the design and providing technical solutions in IT projects, you will ensure detailed documentation and that architectural solutions meet both technical and functional requirements.
The ideal candidate will apply strong business analysis skills and project management methods, collaborating with global teams to achieve efficient project outcomes.
The mission of the GBS IT Support Team is to provide the best possible around-the-clock application program management, support, and customer services for Thermo Fisher Scientific businesses and their global end user customers. Experience:
Proven ability as a technical owner, business analyst, and preferably IT project manager in strategic projects involving multiple ERPs (JD Edwards, SAP), finance systems, P2P, T&E, Middleware (OFM), and 3rd Party SAAS applications.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff and management.Expert ability to translate functional requirements into data and technical specifications through in-depth knowledge of P2P business processes.Demonstrated capacity to navigate the technology landscape and collaborate efficiently with diverse teams worldwide.Strong tactical and critical thinking, leadership, and direction-setting skills.Ability to set expectations, explain, and champion detailed technical concepts to peers, management, and business partners.Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a complex problem-solving environment.Responsibilities:
Facilitate the acquisition and integration of ERP data into mapping templates and the Enterprise Data Platform through data analysis, mapping, data profiling, and validation.Write SQL code to validate data mapping and ensure conformance with data quality standards.Review and refine user stories for development teams and coordinate end-to-end successful completion from initiation to release.Facilitate meetings and workshops by connecting the right people to elicit business requirements and fill information gaps.Demonstrate effective communication between collaborators and the technical team by translating business needs into clear goals and outcomes.Document future state designs and build technical diagrams to support project implementation.Perform impact analysis, risk assessments, and develop mitigation plans to ensure project success.Collaborate with a distributed team to set critical metrics and assess service performance.Partner with Program Management to handle demand intake and prioritization with business and partners, coordinate work estimation, project planning and execution, risk mitigation, and communication for successful service delivery.Qualifications:
Demonstrable experience in ERP system integration, particularly within procurement data analytics.Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis, mapping, profiling, and validation.Proficiency in SQL and experience in developing validation scripts.Excellent collaboration and consultation skills, with experience in test phase defect resolution.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects within a finance or data-centric environment.Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical objectives.Experience in documenting designs and crafting technical diagrams.Ability to perform impact analysis and risk assessments and develop effective mitigation plans.Diligent with a strong focus on ensuring clarity and completeness of acceptance criteria and test plans.Working Conditions:
Works remotely or in office depending on location.
