As a Product Owner and Business Analyst (PO/BA), you will be joining a collaborative project agile team within the Master Data Management group. Our team designs business systems that store and manage core reference data, including location, customer, and vendor information for our global network. Expeditors has branches around the world, so the importance of data integrity and consistency is paramount. This is an opportunity for you to be on a high-performing team that serves as the center-point for consistent, real-time data for our systems.
As the Product Owner and Business Analyst on the 10-person agile team, you will be responsible for prioritizing the team backlog, helping the team to understand stories and acceptance criteria, and working with business stakeholders. By working with product managers to define the business features you will have the knowledge to help the team understand the business requirements, create business object models, and analyze the data to help create valuable solutions. As the bridge between business and development you will be translating the business needs into realistic development work.
Roles and Responsibilities
Support the Agile team with business knowledge and analyst expertiseHelp the team to deliver a minimum viable product that meets the user's needsCollaborate with MDM Product Managers to define business features to be ready for development with requirements and acceptance criteriaBuild, refine, and maintain the team backlog in alignment with the program visionCommunicate business details to the Agile teamCollaborate with other Product Owners and Business Stakeholders to resolve dependencies, coordinate efforts, and deliver cross-functional initiatives and technical enablersAnalyze and decompose complex business requirements to build software systems and influence design for testability and scalabilityParticipate in team demos, reviews and retrospectives with an eye toward continuous improvementThis position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Bachelor's degree5+ years of software business analysis experienceWorking knowledge of the UML (Unified Modeling Language) with the ability to effectively communicate business requirements through Business Object Models, State Diagrams, and other UML diagramsProficiency with the system development lifecycle, including agile techniques and other methodologiesProven interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectivelyEffective at navigating ambiguity and helping diverse teams drive towards clarity and consensusManagement of multiple and competing prioritiesAbility to compose concepts, ideas, and designs into actionable/measureable deliverablesExcellent time management and organization skillsOutstanding verbal and written communicationAbility to recognize and mitigate risksDesire to help the team succeed as a wholeCustomer service mindsetDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Additional InformationExpected base salary: $85,000 to $135,000
