Business Analyst

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Transformation team at Marsh. This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Business Analyst

As we embark on a strategic initiative for the Pacific region, to transform the business and enhance operational efficiency, we are expanding the Transformation Team in Sydney to include a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst to join the program team.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting current state assessment in terms of processes, systems, roles & responsibilities and organizational structures and develop solutions to address them. This role involves working with different business segments, cross-functional teams to identify process simplification, standardisation, automation/digital opportunities and collaborate with them in driving improvements.

We will count on you to:

Collaborate with client-facing leaders and brokers to map the current end-to-end landscape/processes including hand-offs, technology used etcConduct discovery assessments and analyse associated data to identify opportunities for simplification, standardisation, automation, centralisation & right-shoringCreate a summary of findings and proposed recommendations from the discovery assessment to get leadership alignmentAssist in creating business cases with inputs from key business and program stakeholdersKeeping a close track of benefits in-line with the business case and assist in regional and central reporting for the programConduct gap assessment from the existing Marsh Target Operating Model (TOM) design and share findings with key stakeholders to align on way forwardCollaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for the specific improvement initiatives.Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units to ensure clear understanding of requirements.

What you need to have:

Strong business analysis, organisational design, and process improvement experienceProven track record in driving continuous improvement or transformationsExperience in the building of implementation artefacts such as policies, procedures, system user documentation, communication and training materialExcellent stakeholder relationship and communication skills (written and verbal)Strong documentation, presentation, and negotiation skillsStrong understanding of operational efficiency and cost management principlesProven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within operational or financial projects/organisationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio etc).Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced / complex environment.Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
