**Business Analyst – Procurement (Day in the Life)** As a Business Analyst within the Procurement team, your day is centered around transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic and operational excellence. You begin by gathering and evaluating data from a variety of sources—internal systems, supplier performance metrics, and market trends—ensuring data integrity and consistency across platforms. A key part of your role involves automating procurement reports and dashboards, streamlining recurring processes, and delivering timely, accurate insights to stakeholders. You actively support the digitization and automation of data, helping modernize procurement reporting capabilities. You collaborate cross-functionally with departments across the organization, partnering with stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities, assess supplier capabilities, and improve financial outcomes. Your analytical support helps align tactical decisions with the company’s broader strategic goals. Throughout the day, you monitor supplier performance, pricing, and spend, while also driving system enhancements and process improvements. You communicate findings regularly with key teams, mentor others on data insights, and foster a data-driven culture that supports continuous improvement and business success. Starting salary is $55K; commensurate with experience. **What You’ll Do:** + Develop and implement industry-leading procurement data strategies by leveraging operational and financial data sources. + Collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple Hertz systems and outside sources to uncover actionable insights that drive cost savings and operational improvements. + Design, automate, and maintain procurement reports and dashboards to support timely, data-driven decision-making. + Solve complex analytical problems using a blend of technical, business, and mathematical skills. + Monitor supplier performance, pricing, and spend to identify trends and opportunities for optimization. + Support the automation and digitization of data processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. + Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to procurement data systems, processes, and data governance. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to align procurement strategies with business objectives. + Mentor teams by communicating insights and providing feedback to foster a data-driven culture and ensure positive business outcomes. + Demonstrate a passion for uncovering solutions in large data sets and translating them into strategic recommendations. **What We’re Looking For:** + Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Mathematics, or Business Administration. + 2–3 years of professional experience in Car Rental, Operations, Project Management, or Data Analytics, with a proven track record of delivering results. + Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including PowerPoint, Word and Power Automate, with Advanced skills in Excel + Advanced skills in data visualization using Tableau or similar BI tools. + Solid understanding of SQL; experience querying relational databases (DataBricks preferred). + Experience working with Oracle Cloud Fusion and/or Fusion Analytics Warehouse is preferred. + Demonstrated ability to analyze spend and proposal data, identify trends, and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders. + Highly analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple objectives under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment. + Strong project and program management capabilities, with a focus on process improvement and optimization. + Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with experience presenting data-driven insights and project updates to cross-functional teams. + Ability to influence without formal authority and collaborate effectively across functional and geographical boundaries. + Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a customer-focused approach and a passion for solving complex problems through data. **What’s In It For You:** + Up to 40% off the base rate of any standard Hertz Rental   + Paid Time Off + Medical, Dental & Vision plan options + Retirement programs, including 401(k) employer matching + Paid Parental Leave & Adoption Assistance + Employee Assistance Program for employees & family + Educational Reimbursement & Discounts + Voluntary Insurance Programs - Pet, Legal/Identity Theft, Critical Illness + Perks & Discounts –Theme Park Tickets, Gym Discounts & more The Hertz Corporation operates the Hertz, Dollar Car Rental, Thrifty Car Rental brands in approximately 9,700 corporate and franchisee locations throughout North America, Europe, The Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
