This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.
The role
As a Business Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. You’ll support the Senior Business Architect Lead in shaping and delivering key Business Architecture initiatives within the MEHA Programme at Hinkley Point C.
Day-to-day, you'll work in close partnership with senior managers, applying expert business analysis skills, broad business knowledge, and specialist insight to design solutions that drive an effective and efficient business operating model. You'll stay actively involved throughout the development and implementation phases—managing evolving requirements, validating solutions, and ensuring the business is fully prepared for successful adoption. This is a hands-on role where your analytical expertise and strategic thinking will directly contribute to the success of a nationally significant programme.
Partner with senior managers and stakeholders to shape project concepts, define business objectives, and assess risks, issues, and dependencies. Lead the capture, evaluation, and prioritisation of business requirements, ensuring alignment across departments and integration of systems and processes. Collaborate with third-party delivery partners to identify and appraise solution options that are efficient, user-friendly, and fit for purpose. Develop robust business cases and mandates, challenging assumptions and maximising value through tangible and intangible benefit analysis. Oversee the delivery lifecycle, ensuring adherence to business requirements, supporting solution acceptance, and promoting continuous improvement and EDI principles.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/on site and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Business Analyst
Hold relevant qualifications and proven experience in one or more Business Architecture disciplines, such as process management, business analysis, data and management information, or IT system development. Demonstrate deep expertise in business process analysis and design, with proficiency in using modelling techniques and collaborative tools to drive effective outcomes. Bring strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, including negotiation, influence, mediation, and conflict resolution, to lead productive workshops and interviews. Possess a solid track record in developing business cases for large-scale, complex change programmes, supported by advanced financial modelling and appraisal capabilities.
