Business Analyst
The Business Analyst supports the execution of business and functional initiatives by assisting in the translation of business needs into actionable technology requirements. This role involves working with Product Management and Engineering teams to analyze and clarify requirements, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology outcomes.
The Business Analyst acts as a liaison between Product and Engineering teams, supporting effective communication to facilitate the successful delivery of applications aligned with defined business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Product Managers in identifying and understanding business challenges, providing support as a Product Proxy under guidance.
Participate in requirements gathering sessions with Product Managers to document and break down requirements into user stories.
Help prioritize and groom user stories based on defined business needs and contribute to maintaining a healthy product backlog.
Support the Engineering team by providing initial requirement clarifications during the implementation phase.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups) to gain exposure to product development practices.
Assist in functional testing and validation of delivered features to ensure alignment with business expectations.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
Two (2) to four (4) years of related experience, preferably with exposure to development or QE functions.
Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum practices with willingness to learn and grow in Agile methodologies.
Strong foundational communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders under guidance.
Interest in developing analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Possession of a professional certification such as CSPO, PMI-PBA, or CCBA is a plus but not required.
