GFT is seeking a Business Analyst to support a variety of projects in the Mid Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast Region. This role follows a hybrid work model or can be fully remote.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Participate in requirements elicitation with client to define needsDocument As-Is environment and business workflowsModel business processesSupport the compilation of To-Be environment and business workflowsParticipate in agile and waterfall software development lifecyclesAuthor requirements, design, and training documentationSupport training materials and support training class delivery based on varying client needsWork in multi-disciplinary project teams made up of software developers, business analysts, GIS analysts, technical managers, and business subject matter expertsParticipate in project team meetings with client mgmt. and other contractorsDocument meeting minutes, draft business needs assessments, and perform gap analysisResolve problems within working teams and with clientsCompile user stories with the requisite details and acceptance criteriaDevelop and execute test cases to confirm system requirementsGenerate mock-ups, wireframes, or related graphics to illustrate requirements or workflows.Work with developers to clarify requirements throughout the application development processEducation | Experience:What you bring to our firm:
4 year degree, B.A., B.S. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business operations and workflow analysis, training, client relations, public speaking, technical writing and/or project life cycle documentationFamiliarity and experience on agile and waterfall projectsExcellent verbal communication and organizational skills Excellent written and oral communication skillsExperience with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to work directly with clients to gather requirements based on their needs and translate those requirements into tasks for developersAbility to operate as a member of a project team tasked to complete scheduled deliverables for a clientWhat we prefer you bring:
Degree in Computer Science, Geography, GIS, Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field.Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other professional certifications related to the professions of Business Analysis or Project ManagementFamiliarity with GIS and/or geospatial technologyExperience with Azure DevOps and/or JIRAExperience working as a consultant with government clientsExperience managing small projectsCompensation:
The Salary range for this position is $70,000-$85,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
