In addition to projects that have been publicly announced (

), we have an exciting, confidential project pipeline that requires strong controllership support across operations, governance, analytics and investments. You will be helping to develop these initiatives into potential real world projects from day one.
**About the role:**
This X Business Operations and Governance role is a pivotal position, demanding exceptional financial operations, accounting, and FP and A expertise. You'll need strong analytical skills, a collaborative approach to business partnering, and a proven ability to lead and contribute effectively within cross-functional teams. You'll oversee X's financial operations, enhance governance, and provide critical strategic accounting, investment, and financial planning and analysis (FP and A) support. As a self-starter, you'll be eager to design new experiments and continuously improve existing accounting, controllership, and financial forecasting processes that support X's diverse portfolio.
**What you should have:**
+ 4+ years of experience in a blend of accounting, FP and A, and financial operations, ideally with a mix of experience from consulting, public companies, or start-ups
+ Strong operational accounting knowledge, robust analytical and quantitative skills, and a solid understanding of financial modeling and forecasting principles.
+ Proven track record with governance/controls and thought leadership
+ Experience with purchasing and invoicing
+ Knowledge of M and A and Investments
**It would be great if you also had these:**
+ Experience working with SAP
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
+ Excellent communication and leadership skills
+ Comfortable partnering across XFN teams in a fast-paced, quickly evolving work environment
+ Database experience including proficiency in SQL
+ Strong attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills
+ Proven ability to influence across the company and to interact at all levels
**How you will make an impact:**
+ Lead a variety of X factory wide accounting and finance operations initiatives
+ Collaborate across Alphabet Accounting, Tax, Legal, Corp Dev, M and A Finance, Treasury teams
+ Drive accounting, controls and reporting efficiency improvements/automation opportunities
+ Lead strategic finance projects and reporting for X’s leadership team: understand the financial implications of deals/decisions
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000 - $155,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
